YOUR CASK JOURNEY IN 5 STEP

1. RECIPE

Choose Cask Type, Recipe, Warehouse

2. CASK FILLING

Once you've made your choices, it's time to fill the cask,
you can join in if you want! An experience
that we highly recommend.

3. NAME YOUR CASK!

Once your caks is filled, you have the option to
nail on a plaque with your cask's
name. If you are not able to attend, we will do
do it for you.

4. TASTE YOUR CASK

Now comes a time when you get the chance to taste
and evaluate your whisky. We recommend
you to try it once a year to be able to
follow the process and decide for yourself when it's
time for bottling.

5. BOTTLING

Are you happy with the taste? Great! Book in your
cask for bottling and you'll soon have your own
bottles of single cask. You pick up the bottles at the
chosen pick-up point. Now you can finally
enjoy your own unique whisky.

CASK FILLING

For those who want to, it is possible to help fill your own cask! Once you
have activated your cask via the Cask Web,
you can also book it for filling. On the Cask Web
you can see which dates you have to choose from and can make
your registration directly.
The cask filling takes place in Mackmyra Whisky Village and you can
nail on your plaque yourself and
then be involved in filling your cask.

From now on, the storage that will make the raw spirit
into whisky begins and many see the cask filling as the cask's birthday.
Your cask is photographed and the image
added to your cask web, where you can also download it.

CASK TASTING

One of the most appreciated elements of owning a cask is tasting the whisky and
experience how it changes from time to time. To see current times, dates
and locations, log in to the cask web.

Once your cask has been aged for about a year, it's time to do your first
tasting session. As the size of the cask is significantly smaller than traditional
you'll find that a lot has happened in a short time.

DIFFERENT WAYS TO TRY YOUR CASK

You can try out your cask in the vicinity of your warehouse and at certain trade fairs
where we participate. The more often more often you try your cask, the closer you can follow
the maturation of your whisky and take control of the flavor development. You decide when your
whisky is ready and book the cask for bottling.

TRADITIONAL CASK TASTING

Traditional cask tasting where a tasting leader will guide you through how to test
your cask and what to consider.

CASK MINGLE

From time to time, we invite you to a cask mingle at external restaurants around
the country. A festive event where you in connection with tasting your cask
mingle with more barrel owners. Sometimes there is a lecture in
connection with the mingle and often there is a snack offered.

The different types of cask tasting can vary depending on the warehouse
where you store your cask.

Would you like to see available times or book a barrel tasting?

BOTTLING

Is it time to bottle your cask? Once your whisky or gin has matured, book your cask for
bottling via the cask web. Cask owners who store their barrel in Skogslagret have a unique opportunity to
be involved in bottling their own cask. Together with one of our Brand Ambassadors, you can participate in
and bottle in Whisky Village's own bottling plant.
